Tonnau’r Môr is a family and couple oriented Seasonal Caravan and Touring Campsite; a hidden gem, nestled amongst the stunning, rugged coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula in Sarn Bach, Abersoch. Offering fully serviced seasonal hard standing and grassed pitches, with fresh water connection, grey water removal, and pre-pay electric hook ups, fully serviced and non-serviced pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, and allocated grassed areas for rooftop tents, trailer tents and tents.
The beauty of Tonnau’r Môr Caravan and Camping Site doesn’t just lie in the quality of the design, or the picturesque wildflower fields; it also lies in its location. A unique, unrivalled and sought-after position, situated away from main roads, between the 3rd Tee on Abersoch Golf Course, (Clwb Golff Abersoch), and Mickey’s Café; Tonnau’r Môr is just 330 metres from the beach. A perfect location for lazy beach days or action-packed watersports. No more driving, no more struggling to find parking spaces, and no long uphill walks; just pack up your beach bag, hook up your boat or grab your board, and in 4 minutes, you can be on the beach and in the water.
Or if you fancy a spot of lunch, want to do some shopping, or want to go ‘out out’, a 15-minute leisurely and safe walk along the lane through the Abersoch golf course, or 25 minutes along the beach, will take you to the quaint and beautiful village of Abersoch, with its many restaurants, pubs, cafés, shops and watersports businesses.

Family and Couple Oriented Camping
Reopening in 2026; at Tonnau’r Môr, we combined our respect for tradition and the local area with new thinking to create a campsite that is innovative in design. A new, larch clad spacious amenities block, with state-of-the-art facilities and all-inclusive accessible and family shower rooms, adds more than a touch of luxury for our guests. Whilst our family friendly community ethos, steeped in a rich history, ensures that people and provenance are at our core.
Whilst the name of the campsite may have changed, the values remain the same. Building a community was, and always will be, at the heart of what we stand for at Tonnau’r Môr. Creating a safe and friendly enviroment, where the hosts are on hand 7 days a week, and where guests are happy to lend a helping hand to neighbours, is what has, and always will, make this campsite a very special place.
Its a place where a warm welome awaits, where famlies and couples come togther to relax and reflect on the days events, where generations of children have endless hours of fun, and a place where lasting memories are made.

Tonnau’r Môr is located at the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula with easy access to several amazing beaches, walks and within close proximity to plenty of family oriented activities including, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing, making it the perfect family location.
Access to the beach closest to the campsite is via the path inbetween the Abersoch Golf Course. This area of the beach is ideal for familes. It is quiet, with shallow waters and no access for vehicles, making it safer for children to play. It is also dog friendly throughout the year.

With enviable views of Abersoch Bay, St Tudwal’s Islands, Ceredigion, (Cardigan Bay) and the awe-inspiring, magnificent Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), our guests can rewind and reconnect amongst the unique wildlife and habitat onsite, and the surrounding natural beauty of the Llŷn Peninsula.
