Site Info
Tonnau'r Môr is situated near to the beach by the golf course at the Southern side of Abersoch. Just 1.1 mile to the centre of the village and 330m from Machroes beach we are the closest campsite to the sea set in a peaceful wildlife setting.
We also have easy and safe access to all local amenities.

Please note the lane is narrow in places and at busy times it is best to call us in advance so we can help with traffic management.
Yes we accept roof top tents. As long as you can fit comfortably into our spacings and and are not too intrusive we will welcome your custom.
These can go on Serviced Hardstanding and Grass Pitches, or on Non-Serviced Grass Pitches.
No! Some of our pitches at Tonnau'r Môr caravan and camping are grass only. You can choose between hardstanding serviced, grass serviced and grass only. Please make sure you have the equipment needed to dispose of grey and chemical waste if choosing grass only.
The closest EV charger are the ones we have on the site at Tonnau'r Môr. We have 2 EV points on site for you to top up your vehicle. The units are pre pay meters and are only for use of Tonnau'r Môr guests.
Yes we have a professional grade system installed. for those techy minds the system is a 1000/1000 dedicated business line.
With 200mg being transmitted from each pole that covers 3-5 pitches, you won't be affected by how many people are in Abersoch.
Yes! The WiFi is free for all our guests at Tonnau'r Môr. We give you the WiFi code on arrival so you can access the internet immediately.
Tonnau'r Môr caravan and camping site allows up to 2 well controlled and behaved dogs per Pitch with our prior agreement.
At the time of Booking please confirm the number and the breed of dog(s) that you wish to bring.
For health and safety reasons, dogs that are listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not accepted on the Site.
We reserve the right to refuse any dog(s) and / or require that the owner removes their dog from the Site if it is a nuisance or danger to other Guests or, if in our opinion, it is inappropriate for a family Site.
Dogs must be kept on a short lead (maximum 2 metres) at all times.

Yes, charcoal and gas BBQ's are allowed at Tonnau'r Môr provided that they are raised off the ground by about 30cm / 1ft.
Fire pits are not permitted in the non serviced area of the first field. However any designated pitches around the outside are allowed small firepits raised of the ground(weather permitting)
Booking Info
Whilst it is not necessary to book a caravan or tent pitch in advance, to avoid disappointment, we recommend you book early.
We have a very limited amount of pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, who require pitches with electric hook up (EHU).
Along with unserviced grass pitches the total number of units we can accept at anyone time is 20.

The booking calendar is live so if it shows a pitch is available it is ready to book.

At Tonnau'r Môr a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking price is required at the time of booking.
Full payment is required for all bookings of £200 or less.
The final balance must be paid 28 days before arrival at Tonnau'r Môr caravanning and camping.
Electricity is not included in the service pitch price and is an additional extra.
Inclusive set fees can lead to campers overpaying for electricity during their stay. At Tonnau’r Môr, we allow you to set your own limits with a £3 minimum top up you are in total control of how much you spend.
Whilst we don't accept group bookings at Tonnau'r Môr if you have friends onsite you may be allowed to camp next to each other (or very near) providing that we have pitches available.

Only small family type groups are accepted at Tonnau'r Môr. These must be agreed with the site managers beforehand. Large groups and stag / hen parties are not allowed.

Pitch info
At Tonnau'r Môr our hardstanding pitches are 10m x 5/6m with a 10m x 3m driveway. There is also a firebreak between each pitch as well.
Our serviced grassed pitches are approx 10m x 8m with a firebreak in between
Our grass pitches are spaced within the first field and need a distance of 6m between pitches.
Seasonal Pitches are allowed 2 Vehicles that fit on the 'driveway' next to the pitch.
Short Stay Pitch - 1 Vehicle.
If you wish to bring extra vehicles this must be agreed beforehand as we have limited space.
Yes Tonnau'r Môr caravan and camping allow boats, jetskis and trailers providing we have space. This needs to be agreed in advance with the site managers before arrival.

Beach Info
Abersoch beach is very close to the gates of Tonnau'r Môr, it is a short 4min, 330m stroll from the site gate, along a gravel path across the golf course to the beautiful golden sand at Machroes. The access point is near the middle and at the quietest point on the beach.
Yes, dogs are allowed on the beach near Tonnau'r Môr all year round. This is the Machroes end of the beach and is unrestricted for dogs but please look after your canine so as not to cause any nuisance to others visiting Abersoch's beaches
There are restrictions that apply at the north end of the beach near Abersoch village from 1st April – 30th September. During this period, dogs are only permitted from the Machroes end (Mickey’s Beach Café) up to the main slip road near Abersoch Beach Café (Caffi Traeth).
Abersoch beach is considered quite safe although you need to take the appropriate safety measures for the activity you decide to take part in.
The beach is used all the time and is a fantastic spot for paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, snorkelling, windsurfing and windfoiling alongside sailing.
The bay is also a hotspot for powerboating activities as well as wakeboarding.
For the more nature orientated guests there is an abundance of wildlife around the Lŷn Peninsula that can be discovered by your own means of water transport, on foot along the beaches and the cliffs or via the boat trips available out of Abersoch village.
Yes you can launch from the beach near Tonnau'r Môr.
Small dingy's and kayaks can be carried across the golf course path and launched very close to the site.
For larger boats there are two slipways.
1 at Mickeys boat yard at the Machroes end of the beach and 1 at Cafe Traeth that is near the centre of the beach and the main slipway for launching in the area.
You need to be registered and have the relevant insurance to be able to use these slipways as they are manned during the summer.
