Touring Pitch Booking Terms and Conditions

These Booking terms and conditions (Terms) apply to all Bookings created on or after 1st August 2025 and also provide information about your Stay. Please read these Terms carefully before you submit your Booking to us.

When you make a Booking, you are confirming that you and every member of your party understands, agrees and accepts these Terms.

  1. References

The following definitions apply in these Terms:

 “Arrival Date” means the first day of the Stay as specified in the Booking Confirmation.

“Balance Payment” means the amount of the Total Price outstanding once the Deposit has been paid.

“Booking” your booking in respect of the Site pursuant to these Terms.

“Booking Confirmation” means the confirmation of Booking provided to you when a Booking has been accepted by us.

“Day Visitors” people who are allowed to enter the Site subject to the provisions of Clause 18

“Booking Form” means the accommodation booking form completed by you.

“Booking Period” means the duration of your Stay.

“Communal Areas” means the shared facilities and spaces at the Site available for use by all Guests, including but not limited to toilets, showers, washing-up areas, and any communal seating or recreational spaces.

“Deposit” means the amount specified in the Booking Contract.

“Guest(s)” means you and each person included within the Booking (also referred to as “you” in these Terms).

“Minimum Stay” means a minimum period of Stay as imposed by us during certain times of the year.

“Owner” means the owner of the Site, being Tonnau Y Môr trading as Tonnau’r Môr  (also referred to as “we” and “us” in these Terms).

 

“Pitch” means the designated area at the Site allocated for use by you for camping, including space for the Unit.

“Pitch Fees” means the price to book the Pitch prior to any Extras being added.

“Restricted Areas” means the areas specified in Clause 15.

“Site” means the Tonnau’r Môr camping and caravan site at Fron Hyfryd, Sarn Bach, Abersoch, LL53. 7 ET

“Site Rules” means the rules set out in Clause 6

“Stay” the period of your stay at the Site pursuant to the Booking.

“Terms” means these terms and conditions.

“Third Parties” means anyone who is not a Guest or Day Visitor.

“Total Price” means the total price for the Booking, being the price for the Pitch and also any Extras selected at the time of Booking.

“You” means the lead person making the Booking to stay at the Site.

“Unit” means any of a caravan, tent, trailer tent, folding camper, campervan or motorhome.

  1. Contract, Booking and Amendments

Payment of the appropriate fees entitles the owner to place a Unit on a Pitch for the duration of the stay as specified in the Booking Contract. It is not intended to create any greater right or interest and in particular does not constitute a tenancy or letting of any nature whatsoever.

 

Units are for the sole use of the people named in the Booking Contract.

You must not:

  • Operate a business or trade on the Site.
  • Exceed the berth of your Unit.
  • Exceed the maximum number of pets agreed in your Booking Contract without our prior approval.
  • Allow overnight Guests

Unit owners are responsible for securing their Unit and may only use alarms of the silent monitored type and not audible alarms.

 

Units must:

  • Be adequately insured.
  • Be equipped with adequate approved firefighting equipment

The Booking cannot be made by a Third Party or by anyone under the age of 18. Furthermore, you may not transfer the Booking to a Third Party. We reserve the right to cancel or terminate a Booking where the Guests have failed to disclose all material facts as required in the Booking Form.

Your Booking is not valid until the Deposit has been paid and is confirmed by us in writing. A Booking is made by completing and submitting the Touring Pitch Booking Form and paying the Deposit. Once we have received the Booking Form and the Deposit and we have accepted the Booking, we will send you a Booking Confirmation. At this point a binding contract exists between us.

Once a Booking is confirmed, it cannot be changed unless agreed by us.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct type and size of Unit has been stipulated at the time of Booking.

The Site is intended primarily for the use of families and couples. Teenagers and young adults are not permitted to stay without their parents/family.

Groups will not be allowed to submit a Booking unless we agree beforehand in writing.

We reserve the right to impose a Minimum Stay during certain times of the year.

 

  1. Pitch Fees, Deposits and Balance Payments

All fees are payable by the due dates as set out in the Touring Pitch Booking Form and Contract. 

The Deposit is non-refundable unless the cancellation of the Booking is by us.

The Balance Payment is due no later than 28 days before the start of the Stay. If you fail to make the Balance Payment, we reserve the right to cancel the Booking and retain the Deposit.

If you are paying by bank transfer, please inform us in writing once payment has been made.

  1. Cancellation and termination of the Booking and refunds

If you wish to cancel or amend the Booking for any reason you must advise us immediately in writing by email at: info@tonnaurmor.co.uk.

In the event of cancellation by you, the following provisions will apply:

Cancellation 29 days or more before the start of the Stay: you lose the Deposit but you are not liable for the Balance Payment.

Cancellation 28 days or less before the start of the Stay: the full Balance Payment will be payable.

If, for any reason, the Site is not available on the date(s) confirmed in the Booking, we will refund all monies paid by you in advance and we will have no further liability to each other in respect of the Booking. We will not be liable for any costs incurred by you for any alternative accommodation due to our cancellation.

Please ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance to cover you or your Guests in the event of cancellation or early departure due to ill health or inclement weather conditions.

 

  1. Pitches, Awnings and Pitch Requests

The Pitch is for One Unit, An Awning and a Parking Space for One Vehicle.

You must not park on any other pitch.

For Fully Serviced Pitches, only one electrical feed per Pitch may be plugged into the electrical supply. Additional feeds / adaptors will not be permitted.

The use of generators is strictly prohibited.

At the end of your stay the pitch must be cleared.

 

  1. Site Rules

By placing the Booking with us, you agree to ensure that you and all Guests (including children and Day Visitors) act responsibly and respectfully throughout the Stay. This includes adhering to all applicable laws, and the Site Rules available at: [INSERT LINK]

If you fail to abide by these rules, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the Site immediately and without a refund. We reserve the right to apply reasonable charges for any breaches by you of the Site rules or these Terms. We are not responsible for any additional costs or losses that this may cause you. However, you will be responsible for any damage to any property on the Site.

We reserve the right to amend the Site Rules as needed. You will be notified in writing of any changes to the Site Rules

  1. Arrival and Departure times

Guests are welcome to arrive between the hours of 12pm and 8pm on the Arrival Date. If you require an arrival outside of these hours this must be agreed with us beforehand.

Pitches must be vacated no later than 11am on the day of your departure.

If you have not arrived by 8pm on the Arrival Date and you have not contacted us to notify us of a later arrival, we reserve the right to re-let your Pitch.

 

  1. Vehicles entering the Site

You must comply with the following provisions in relation to the use of Vehicles on the Site:

  • All vehicles must be roadworthy and fully legal (taxed, insured and with a valid MOT).
  • Drivers must hold a current UK driving license
  • The provisions of the Highway Code apply on the Site.
  • Drive Slowly – the speed limit across the Site is 5mph at all times
  • Please stick to the roads when driving, apart from when accessing your Pitch.
  • Be particularly aware of the presence of children and animals
  • Bicycles and scooters are welcome, as long as they are ridden safely and helmets should be worn for your own safety. If they become a nuisance, we may refuse their use
  • Segways, e-scooters, and similar are not allowed unless we have agreed to their use beforehand
  1. Car Charging

The Site has 2 EV Charging Stations. This is available for use solely by Guests. You must use only the designated charging point and manufacturer approved cables for charging your vehicle.

We reserve the right to refuse to allow electric vehicles to be charged if we do not consider that it can be done safely.

Vehicles must vacate the charging bay once charging is complete.

Vehicle owners must be considerate towards other guests who may need to use the EV chargers.

  1. Boats, Trailers, Tractors and Beach Vehicles

The siting of Boats, Trailers, Tractors and Beach Vehicles must be discussed and agreed with the site managers prior to entering the site.

Boats, Trailers, Tractors and Beach Vehicles must not be parked on site.

  1. Electricity and water

Access to a fresh water supply is included in the Pitch Price. Please do not waste water or cause over-spill onto the land. All Watersports Equipment including, but not limited to; Surf-boards, Paddle Boards and Wetsuits must be washed in the designated area. The washing of vehicles on site is prohibited. Paddling pools and hot tubs are not permitted on site.

For Fully Serviced Pitches an electricity supply is an Extra charged via an online pre-pay meter located on/near your Pitch. All electricity which is paid for on the meter but not used cannot be refunded. Please be aware of this when topping up your meter. The electricity supply is 10amp. Appliances with high electricity consumption may trip the power supply.

  1. Dogs

The Site allows up to two well controlled and behaved dogs per Pitch with our prior agreement. At the time of Booking please confirm the breed of dog(s) that you wish to bring.

Please note that you must:

  • Keep your dog on a short lead (maximum 2 metres) at all times
  • Not allow your dog to foul any area on site
  • Clean up any accidental fouling immediately – Failure to comply will result in you being asked to leave the site immediately.
  • Not leave your dog unattended
  • Not exceed a maximum of 2 dogs per Unit
  • Not allow dogs in the amenities block with the exception of Service Dogs
  • Do you best to prevent excessive barking

 

We reserve the right to refuse any dog(s) and / or require that the owner removes their dog from the Site if it is a nuisance or danger to other Guests or, if in our opinion, it is inappropriate for a family Site.

For health and safety reasons, dogs that are listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not accepted on the Site.

  1. Smoking

Smoking (including e-cigarette for vaping) is strictly prohibited in all buildings, including the bell tents. You must also refrain from smoking in doorways, outside windows and in Communal Areas which may cause distress to other Guests or our staff.

 

 

  1. BBQs

Only charcoal or gas BBQs are permitted.

BBQs must be raised off the grass to prevent damage, scorching or burning.

Disposable BBQs are not permitted. BBQ are available to hire from the Site Office.

All BBQs must be fully extinguished after use and any waste must be cleared away.

We reserve the right to refuse BBQ usage during times of adverse weather conditions including but not restricted to: drought, high winds etc.

  1. Restricted Areas

The Site has adjoining areas of land that are designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). There are a multitude of flora, fauna, insects and animals living there. They create a special diversity of habitat which is of great importance and must be protected.

The land to the bottom and the right-hand side of the Site, all of the hedges and the water courses are all SSSI. These areas should not be entered or disturbed. In the event of any query, please speak to one of our members of staff.

  1. Recycling and general waste

All businesses in Wales have to recycle by law. We provide bins in the recycling compound to adhere to this. Please leave your Pitch waste free on departure.

Please separate your waste into the corresponding bins:

  • Glass
  • Plastic and metal
  • Paper and card
  • General Waste – All General Waste must be securely bagged before placing in bins.

Any large items (e.g. broken tents, awnings, large beach toys etc) must be removed from Site when you leave. There is a recycling facility in Pwllheli open to the public and free of charge.   1. Photography and Drones

Images and videos maybe taken of the site and used for advertising and marketing purposes.  Please notify us if you do not wish to be included in any such material.

Stills photography and videos are not allowed in any changing areas.

Drones may be used in accordance with CAA guidelines.

Drone operators and controllers must have adequate public liability insurance.

  1. Day Visitors

We are happy to welcome Day Visitors to the Site, subject to the following conditions:

  • They follow the Site Rules as set out in Clause 6
  • They leave the Site by 11.00pm
  • Barrier code must not be shared with Day Visitors or Third Parties
  • We also kindly ask that kitchen and toilet codes are shared discreetly with Day Visitors and no other third parties. This is for the collective benefit of all Guests
  • Doing so is a breach of these Booking terms and may result in you being asked to leave the Site with no refund
  • You are responsible for your visitors whilst they are on the Site
  1. Website Accuracy

We have taken care to ensure the accuracy at the time of publication of our Website. However, we are always looking for ways to make improvements to the Site and subsequently there may be small changes to it. Whilst every care is taken to ensure that the details shown on the Website are correct, we cannot accept responsibility for errors contained therein or the search results.

Pricing errors can occasionally be made on the Website. If you happen to spot an error, we are under no obligation to honour this price.

No party may reproduce any of the contents of the Website (including photographs) without our prior written consent.

The contents of the Website are for information only and is not incorporated into the contract between us which is the subject of the Booking.

  1. Limitation of liability

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaching the terms of our contract with you or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us when making the Booking.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

These Terms are governed by English and Welsh law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of your Booking in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Scottish, English or Welsh courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Northern Irish, English or Welsh courts.

All belongings and vehicles (together with contents) owned by Guests or visitors are left on Site entirely at their own risk. We accept no liability whatsoever to you or any Third Party for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused to you, your Guests or your belongings during your stay at the Site except to the extent that such loss, damage or injury is caused by our negligence or wilful default.

We will not be in breach of these Terms or otherwise liable to you or any third party arising from any circumstances beyond our reasonable control including without limitation, flood, fire, explosion, accident, strikes, war, threat of war, natural or nuclear disaster, no availability of transport services, interruption to services/utilities and all similar events outside our control.

 

 

  1. Other

No mechanical or repair work (whether to vehicles or otherwise) may be undertaken on the Site. Please notify reception if you have requested the assistance of a breakdown vehicle.

The shop may not be open during your Stay, or may have restricted hours during mid-season. The shop being open is at our discretion and cannot be guaranteed prior to your arrival.

  1. Access Statement and Policy

We seek to provide the very best service to all of our Guests and have prepared an accessibility statement which described the facilities that we have to offer on the Site.

  1. Complaints procedure

If you have any complaints during your stay at the Site, they must be reported to us as soon as possible during your Stay to allow us the opportunity to carry out any assessments and/or corrective actions. We will do our best to resolve your complaint where possible.

If we are denied the opportunity to assess the issue or carry out any remedial actions then you may at our option be deemed to have waived any rights to any compensation or any other applicable remedy available to you.
